HOW WILL YOU INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION?

AIM (Adventures In Ministry) is a great way to mentor and guide a high school student called to serve God in ministry.

Are you a church leader who has been asked by a young person to mentor them in the AIM program? Or, perhaps you are a leader who knows a great candidate for this program. If you have identified a rising 9th grader – high school senior who is interested in serving Christ’s Church as a minister or leader, AIM is a great way to help them explore their calling and understand the responsibility and work involved in church leadership.

1.) PARTNER WITH AN EXPLORER WHO FEELS CALLED TO SERVE

INVITE A YOUNG LEADER TO EXPLORE THEIR CALLING, OR RESPOND TO AN INVITATION TO MENTOR

If you are a church leader, you might identify a high schooler with a calling, or perhaps a young disciple of Christ has asked you to mentor them.

2.) FIVE CUPS OF COFFEE

OVER A 10 WEEK PERIOD, YOU AND YOUR EXPLORER WILL HAVE 5 IMPORTANT CONVERSATIONS

We will send you what you need to enroll in a study program navigated through our website. Every two weeks, you and your explorer will meet for a cup of coffee and talk about their spiritual gifts and calling. You may choose to meet in person, or remotely for these discussions. We provide a format created by Rev. Ashlee Alley with 5 topics of conversation for you. These conversations are an exploration of who your mentee will become as a leader in Christ’s church.

3.) CHECK-IN WITH THE AIM TEAM

AFTER YOU COMPLETE THE PROGRAM, OUR AIM TEAM WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU

AIM Participants are encouraged to journal about their adventure through the duration of the 5 Cups of Coffee self study and evaluation on the AIM website. They might ask you to help them plan a future as a leader in Christ’s Church. Explorers will need you to help define their goals and they’ll need your encouragement and guidance as they embark on the internship experience. Our AIM support team is here to help you and your explorer. We will let you know what’s next after you complete your 10 week program.
